What is The White Sock Theory? The name comes from an obscure theory of musician/producer Marc Waithe, the former guitarist for the New York City band "Abstract," about people and fashion. But how does this theory describe the music? If you take the guitars out, the music could be soundtracks to films. If you listen to the rhythms, it may be World Music. There is an certain duality within the songs of The White Sock Theory. What you hear on the surface may not necessarily be what is most important, or what is central to the song. "A Disease Yet To Come," the first The White Sock Theory LP, proves that machines do not control music, but that musicians can use machines to create music with heart and soul. Happy listening.
